Getting Started with Prepaid
Setting yourself up on Prepaid is easy. Here's an overview of how to get started.
1. Select a Prepaid Kit or make your own
Consider what kind of phone you want, and what features you'd like your phone to have. Then, you have two options:
A. Pick one of our Prepaid kits, which include a cool phone and up to $50 in service credits1 to get you started
B. Make your own
- You can select any TELUS mobile phone2 and activate it on Prepaid
- Purchase the mobile phone under the 'no contract' price, and a Prepaid Starter Kit. A Starter Kit includes an activation code, which you will be asked to enter at the time of activation, and $50 in service credits.
Or, if you already have a TELUS mobile phone that you want to re-activate on the TELUS network as a Prepaid phone, all you need is a Prepaid Starter Kit.
You can purchase Prepaid phones and Starter Kits online or at any one of our convenient locations.
2. Activate your phone
Activating online, is fast, easy and no account set up fee will apply.
If you have trouble activating online, please call us at 1-888-552-3333 or visit your nearest TELUS store. A full service account set up fee of $15 will apply.
3. Select your add-ons
We have many calling and messaging add-ons that will help you save money. Whether you want to manage your budget monthly or daily, we've got the right add-ons for you.

2 The TELUS Prepaid service can be activated on any TELUS PCS phone. Prepaid is not available on Mike and Smartphones (Blackberries or PDAs)
